I was joshin' with Scott...who has at times described the vanagon as a "Sporty" handler.

What I noticed was that my van, without it's 2.5 month trip load of 'stuff'....it felt really lighter and much less like a loaded down cargo vehicle...Today I reversed some of the route I just drove...and without the load the van was a lot more responsive...to be expected, but I 'picked up on it' big time this afternoon.

I have RA O 8s on the front and Hakka Cs on the rear in 42f and 49r air pressure..

.I find my van handles pretty well, considering it's weight, shape and C.O.G......but it ain't no sports car....not by any 'spin' you can come up with....Yeah, it corners better than my 1977 1-Ton long chassis Dodge Van and probably outhandles my Ford 250 diesel with the Alaskan Camper....but it ain't no way sporty.....Its a camper van, for (diety of your choice) sake!

And...."understeering"?....It scares me to death thinking of purposely drifting a corner in a Volkswagen Vanagon...... ciao Don Hanson
