For a pedal that goes to the floor look at all the external stuff first. I if something from the driven (slave) cylinder to the clutch gets broken the cylinder will fully extend making the immovable until continued force blows a line. Check the linkage from the pedal also.

Gertie's clutch gave up the ghost - well I'm fairly certain actually.

I have no resisitance at the pedal - fluid resivoir level is fine and no sign of any leaking or other issues at the slave (which is only 4 months old) or master cylinder.

I can hot shift it (I only did that to get home) and all is well so I assume the trans is OK (if not I have a spare imagine that).

However, having only done clutch work one other time many years ago I thought I'd ask you good folks if I should be checking that master cylider some how before I start removing the trans and such to replace the clutch.

Best I can say for the "symptoms" is no clutch pedal and some severe difficulty getting it into gear when it's running - yes unfortuantely there was some grinding of gears going on at the out set (I had to get out of the middle of the street)

So as always any advice tips or tricks are greatly appreciated.
