And as I have said before, it is essential for proper clog-free venting, the crossover tube must be above the coolant lines and not hanging below with a dip in it! It is not for manufacturing convenience. It must have a high spot in the middle to ensure that fuel slosh can drain back and not remain in a dip to prevent proper ventilation. I am always sure to place in in the upper body clip to ensure a center high spot , as they designed it to be originally. There are many people that think they are smarter than the VW engineers, but I'm not one of them....
