I've had wonderful luck with my Focal(french-made) 165 2 way system with the crossover. Paid like $300 for them and after 12 years or so, they still sound great. Mounted them in the 6.5" mid bass drivers in the bottom of the door(did have to cut some sheet metal, but the sound was worth it), and the tweeters are the 1" dome style and fit nicely up towards the top of the door panel. For another $10 or so, you can buy Metal grilles that have withstood many mule kicks on my behalf, or you could make your own grilles out of something heavier. Forget where I mounted the crossovers, but I did reinforce the door panel with some carbon/epoxy plates I made in the shop. The Focal Model is 165 something or another, but don't get the price point 165's on ebay tht sell for like half of the true 165's. Spend the $300 and only cry once. Driving them with a vintage Rockford Fosgate(US made no less) 600A4 amp and the 8" mini subs in the back you can barely hear.

Enjoy what ever you put in there my man
