A powered sub-woofer is the key! Trying to get good bass out of any reasonable speaker is not going to happen. I recently di an economy Bazooka Bass tube in the motorhome. Wow! The original 6 1/2 " rounds in the ceiling are just fine now. Reasonable sized amps can be mounted under the dash above the glove box. There are small subs that can be placed under the front seats.

I went with Memphis Sound Sub, speakers and amp. This brand is middle of the road (read not MB Quartz,) and very high quality. The deck is a Pioneer. These brand names are personal choices and biases, but just know that it is like anything else. You get what you pay for. Choose something that comes with good recommendations. I doubt that there is a much audible difference for the average age of this forum and, for me, after many, many years in industry, running and operating jet engines and other crazy machinery, not to mention shoving my head into Jimmy's concert speakers in 1969, it goes without saying. The main thing I want to offer here is that you do not need to cut anything. Get 4" speakers all the way around. I have that, plus a 10" sub (mounted like Jake De Villiers under the bench seat on PS, boxed in.) This system is spectacular. It is just right for that amphitheater. Just saying you do not need to cut. Not rocket science. Spend a little money and be happy. I did everything for 600.00 or 700.00 and am very happy with it. I feel I spent the minimum needed to get optimum value. I'm doing this same system this week on my Syncro. Good luck! Miguel
