RE: Cool Vanagons Thinking about this since Mark's initial post and thinking about the appeal of our Vanagons to younger people leads me to wonder about this as at least part of the reason. First, the younger people may well not see a differencce between a Bus and a Vanagon. They are are simply Buses and in their minds they are the icon of the '60's and Hippies. And I also suspect that there is a mythology today about the Hippie era that exists in the minds of younger generations that weren't there, in fact their parents are probably the sons and daughters of those who were. So these young people see the VW Bus as the icon of that time and the Vanagon the same as a Splittie in their minds. |
