Is it the entire depth (Front-Rear) of the DriversSide end of the BackSeat/Bed that is RidingHigh or is just the Front or just the Rear ~ I just looked at mine & what I am getting about your symptoms would seem to suggest that either the Bracket/HingeMechanism is somehow bolted in ToHigh or that there is something under the seat in the storage area that is not allowing it to go down all the way ~ On mine there does not appear to be MuchOrAny room for adjustment in where those Brackets are bolted to the sides of the StorageBox/SeatStand ~ I recall that years ago, the small steel odd shaped spring loaded "thingamawhatcys" that are the things that go Click when you are converting from bed to seat & cause the seat to take on its L shape, got bent or deformed some how on 1 of my Westys but I don't really remember just what symptom that resulted in other than they would not move freely & so no Click & no L shape.
