Hi Frank. Yes, the trip went well, better than could be expected really. The whales were even friendlier by far than in the previous three years I have done this. After several mothers and calves came to us to say hi we had a group of 4 adult whales that seemed to be competing for which got to be closest to our boat where we could stroke them. Some whales would position themselves directly under the boat and rub against it for a while. Given that they were larger than our boat we had a few anxious moments until we got used to it. Not sure what that was about. Kinky maybe.
