Something that can get left out of this kind of thread is the axle angle changes (steeper) that can happen when we start putting different enges and wheels/tires as upgrades on our vans. One thing I ran into was the need for a large diameter inner transaxle flange CV boot, which required a longer, square shouldered boot plus the larger diameter flange end whcih then required buying the adapter piece. The boot was too short and too "tight" of a fit, so would crack after 10K mi. or so. Can't say anything about the quality of rubber on these longer, larger diameter boots, but they never fail, unless struck by debris or something. This is on a Syncro.
