I'll endorse John's statement also. as for Scott's reply, well, timing is everything. I had to run errands earlier. pulled into a lot and parked a few empty spaces away from others. while switching off I noticed a sedan short cut through spaces and almost clip 3 cars as the driver was staring at my Van. he parked and approached me to ask about about the German plate (numerschaffen) because he's German. turns out he used to own a Vanagon that supplied him with many happy memories. he wore a slight smirk and his eyes were a little clouded. I didn't press him for details. now, we both have another memory and the big world got a little smaller.             =(:D)              mike ________________________________ From: Scott Daniel - Turbovans <scottdaniel@TURBOVANS.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Saturday, March 23, 2013 9:34 PM Subject: Re: Beyond Vanagon-Keeping older vehicles! Very nicely stated John. Vanagons do meet people's needs quite well, There is 'an Experience' that goes with owning a Vanagon .. a world-wide family even. scott www.turbovans.com On 3/23/2013 10:09 AM, JRodgers wrote: > I keep tintop Vanagons primarily because of the utility of the vehicle > that meets my purposes.
