It is an easy but slow job with a 7/16 tap iirc. Someone check my brain. I did this from the top with a mirror.

Tip: stuff a rag in the bell housing so that the tap, bushing or crud do not fall in. The mirror is just for placement the rest you do by feel an slowly.

The tap will bottom out and pull the bushing along. When it's free you will feel it loosen up.

To install I used a long bolt with a nut on it to drive the new bushing in place. I also did this slowly and by feel mostly.
