I have. All of them! I started the whole trim stretching project with the ones on the back closet door because they were so far out of the corners they had been bent back and deformed by the door (eastern Oregon sun through the back window). Same procedure works well. Soften and pull out a bit more past the corner, add glue, and then I used a round 2" diameter railing scrap to roll the corners back in and kept rolling until they cooled. Still fine after a year. Be sure to pull out 3 or 4 inches beyond the corner to stretch.

Nice work Jarrett.

Have you tackled the inside curve trim? I have some shrinking away from entrance to cubbies. I've done the outside edges, but not the inside ones yet...

The method of using a heat gun and glue was mentioned a few months ago here on the list, and it works well. Write-up and pics here: http://www.kpcnsk.com/?p=501 Very easy, very satisfying repair. You could probably do it with a good hairdryer set on high. > > -Jarrett Kupcinski > 89 Westy
