Hi John. Thanks for that heads up. This was something I'd wondered about.

The Automotive Goop I used supposedly dries through a "solvent evaporation" process and is not silicone based.

A bit of a side note. With solder and Goop added, the connector sleeve had to be trimmed. Added more Goop on ribbon edge/wires after sleeve installed so am hoping no adhesive got between cluster body and sleeve as this would make future ribbon removal tough.
