Couple of points need clarification here. Regarding the shore power and other wires. None of that has to be interrupted. If you have a Canadian model with the shore power cord stored in the cabinet then just cut it off, make an extension cord with it and install a receptacle like on the US models, you should have done this long ago anyways, who what to fight with the cord to get it out and back in ? The rest of the wiring inside that cabinet will not interfere wight the Propex. As for the exhaust and intake going through the side wall this cannot happen. They must exit through the floor as will the propane line so there will be three holes that will be cut in the floor. If these holes with their respective pipes are properly protected there is no concern for leaking. Also, remember that the Propex is a zero clearance heater so there is no need to worry about anything touching the heater anywhere. This is by far the best place to install the Propex HS2000 in a Vanagon Westfalia. We do now however have the new HS2211 from Propex that installs outside under the van so there is another option available. See my <www.frankcondelli.com/propex.htm> webpage for details. Canadian sales only !
