I hear ya on the 'not truck like' part. Can you push start one ? or push it easily with two people ? it's large and heavy compared to a Vanagon , no way around that.

I've been in a couple of 'em . havn't driven one. I'm sure they drive just fine. regarding size and interior room .. what I have never liked about that type of vehicle is how high the inside floor is off the ground.. a lot of volume is given up by having the body on top of the chassis .. Sprinter may not be quite as bad in that respect compared to say a traditioal shcool bus .. I still think a very high floor wastes a lot of space.

I'm sure you will build one Karl. I will be suprised if I ever drive and own anything that big , personally.

let's see a good ratio of interior volume to height, length, and weight of the vehicle. Not that one can get up and run around in a Westy say .. they are 'compact' for sure. I just like that a vanagon is not a huge thing. Like that a lot.
