Please forgive the NVC post. If you have a reply, please use pmail.

Hoping someone can provide me with a bit of info.

I just purchased a 2002 Jetta with the 1.8t and Tiptronic 5 speed. I've got some transmission issues, but don't want to get in to that yet. While looking over the car, I found an electrical plug with three wires that are not connected to anything. The wiring appears to come from the firewall side of the engine and was laying on top of the tranny. Wire1 is yellow with black stripe. Wire2 is brown with white stripe. Wire3 is purple with white stripe. The plug has the part number 1J0973703.

I don't have a Bentley yet and don't have access to an ETKA with this year model on it. I was hoping someone might be a me to look it up and tell me what it's supposed to connect to.
