David, This is called the window scraper. VC and GW sell only the scraper suitable for windows without the chrome trim (not sure about BD). Ken at Vanagain sold me scrapers for my windows (with chrome trim) a couple of weeks ago; he said they're a bit hard to find. Perhaps Ken will indicate his inventory. Some remove the chrome trim and use the more available window scrapers, and replace all the outside rubber surrounding the window. Its the rubber (I guess) that is between the chrome trim and the outside glass on the two front windows at the bottom. It runs from the rear of the quarter-window along the bottom of the window and then up and around about 2in at the rear of the window. Both pieces on each side are pretty badly deteriorated. Anyone know what these parts are called, where I can get new ones, and how do I install them? If it makes any difference I have power windows and neither of them work. -David (1987 Wolfsburg GL, Tempe AZ) |
