thanks, Rich. I'm going to wait to spray all 4 grilles in warmer weather ; upstate NY. all paint jobs are about the prep. brake cleaner or acetate for final clean makes plastic very sticky for fresh primer/paint. others have endorsed (Krylon ?) Fusion for this. I do have lettering enamel but, IDK about silver on top grille. also haven't decided about window seal trim either ; black or chrome. it's beyond yellow - shrunk down or pieces missing. I want to say I've seen it available in a catalogue or on a site. these are low grade cosmetics that can be put off.           mike ________________________________ From: Richard Koerner <rjkinpb@SBCGLOBAL.NET> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Friday, March 29, 2013 6:33 PM Subject: Re: Bumper Corner Cap If you plan to paint the front plastic grills (with satin black spray paint, good also for black mirrors and rear intake vents too), highly recommend you don't put Armor All on them now...might cause paint adhesion problems a few months from now when you decide to paint unless you are ultra fastidious regarding cleaning before painting.  I really think painting over the silver trim paint on front upper grill is a big improvement, as well as yanking off and discarding the faded & yellowed window trim in the rubber.
