If it is clicking, you may get it to engage better by re-pressing the reset button. Best not to reset when vehicle is moving. Not really a permanent fix, but if your fuel level gage doesn't work, and you use the odo for estimated fuel level ( I know 'some guy' that may do this) this may work.
