RE: Load Range D Tires on a Westy

I ran Nokian Hakka CS 185R14s for several years, Load Range D tires, and I did not find them that stiff to be uncomfortable. I am running a pretty heavy '90 Westy (what else can I cram in here? :) ) so that may have made a difference in feel. I will say this, my current Nokian Hakka WRC 205/65R 15s are the most comfortable and best riding tires/wheels I've had on two Westies over almost 20 years. With a proper wheel alignment The Starwagen handles far better than it ever has, both tracking and steering. BTW, if you do want a harsh ride in a Westy just put on the shocks whose name stands for Kill Your Butt. Now that IS harsh.
