The power Pole offers instant disconnect for removal and safely breaks both sides. Even a 400 watt inverter needs a 40 amp circuit and thus switch. With the capacitive load contact welding is possible with a cheap switch so you really want a good snap action or a double break type. The disconnect takes care of all issues. Dennis
