Remember to >fill the oil [hole] with an approximate amount of sealant close to >the amount drilled out to maintain fan balance Dear Robert, Once you've gone to all the trouble of taking the dash and heater box apart, it seems to me to only make sense to go the whole way and disassemble the blower so you can properly lube both bearings including the felt oil reservoir rings which aren't accessible without removing the motor. That being said, it's the rear bearing that runs out in the open and gets showered with dust all the time, as the forward one is protected by the blower wheel itself; which is why the Mullendore Port is so effective at stretching out the interval before you simply have to take the dash off.
