That sounds correct to me too, just based on what I've seen with my rig. I sometimes get a wetness in the lower ducting when the van sits in the rain. My snorkel is tightly tucked into the rear corner too, and the entire length is connected with hose clamps, so very tightly sealed. I'm considering cutting most of the opening face off to open it up more for more air flow due to the increased motor size. I'll put plastic screen over the face with silicone glue, and add a small "hood" that sits on the backside of the snorkel, which faces forward, just to help keep water off the opening, yet not interfering with air flow. bob |
