Sounds like a wonderful trip. Envy, envy. I'm glad you didn't get washed away.

Our honeymoon trip on the '84 was a bird-and-family trip. The bird part was great. The family part...what were we thinking? We figured it out just in time, ditched the family and extended the trip, and saved the eggs, so to speak. Most of 'em, anyway.

I'm remembering the punt gun they had in one of the bird preserves...you could chase a cat down the barrel. Scary thing, scary dangerous at both ends. Could kill some ridiculous number of ducks with one shot, for the New York market.
