Wow another blast from the past! These were available from Winkler in Germany many years ago. However most people felt that they were either no benefit or even a hinderance to good air flow into the Vanagon intake. So, more effort and expense, and no benefit. Does really sound like something I would want to waste my time doing. OE air vents are best. VW spend lots of time and money working that out. These guys had 30 years of air intake craftsmanship behind them. I would take their design seriously.
