I'm not trying to save money, only time. Motors are $50, and I wouldn't take the dash off to just lube a bad one. The pad is so cracked I'd want to replace it too.

Of course, the new motors could be junk as is the case with so many old car replacement parts; has anyone had experience with these? David says the Meyle motors are noisy. Maybe I should find a used OEM motor. (There are times I wish I had my '84 back.)

This rig sat in eastern Oregon sunshine for many years, and all the grease cooked. I need to replace the wiper motor too, so I may just bite the bullet.

Drilling holes lubes only 1 bearing . If you are trying to save the old blower, you need to lube both bearings. That means dash removal.

Then, you drill a small hole thru the plastic fan near the shaft, and drip or spray lubricant there where the shaft is.

Remember to fill the oil with an approximate amount of sealant close to the amount drilled out to maintain fan balance
