I had something cool happen so I thought I would share it with the list. A Vanagon owner called me the other day and we chatted about a non-start problem he was having. As we talked through the troubleshooting together, we came to the conclusion that it was either the ECU or the distributor (Hall sensor). I offered to test his ECU in my Vanagon to see if it was the problem and he said he would do that. After I tested the ECU then we would go from there. That is all that was said. A few days later I got his ECU in the mail, but it also came along with $50 in cash and a bag of home made chocolate chip cookies that were great! The ECU was bad, I had a rebuilt one for $250 and I sent it back out to him that day. It is so nice to feel appreciated. I have some great customers that I am really thankful for. Most of them have sent me pictures of their vans, post cards from their trips, or even small models of Vanagons from Germany. It is good to feel the love! Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com |
