I'm wondering what is meant by modified transmission mounts. pretty sure I saw those words. your fast series of knocks comments sure reminds me of 'shift linkage' something. try this sometime..... it helps to have someone else drive ...put your ear right on the shift knob , driving in gear. You may even hear that sound amplified. Lots of racket is sometimes very evident there. lacking another driver ..use a ( ideally hard wood )stick as a listening device.. stick onthe shift knob, other end on your ear flap... or stethoscope on the shift knob. the shift linkage is a direct sound path into the cockpit .. everything is suppossed to be isolated sound and vibration wise...but sometimes it's not. scott On 4/15/2013 11:47 AM, neil n wrote: > Good point.
