Sorry, no experience, but the difference is mostly related to support for daylight running lights on some versions. It could be made to work with a bit of rewiring. It looks like US models didn't have the DRLs, and the main difference in the switches is that the dimmer is broken out separately on the new one, and that circuit has a separate fuse. It looks like this would work: Connect all the wires from the "T" switch to the same number terminal on the "M" switch (X to X, 30 to 30, 56 to 56, 58 to 58), except those which went to 58e and 58b. I don't know if the connector will just plug in, or if the terminals are in the same place. Do not connect the wire which went to terminal 58e (this drew power for the dimmer circuit), insulate it well and put it aside. Connect terminals 58 and 58e on the "M" switch. Connect the wires which went to 58b on the "T" switch to 58b on the "M" switch THROUGH A 5A INLINE FUSE. |
