With the transmission mount removed, I was surprised at how little support the transmission needed. Of course I wasn't mentally taking into account the drive axles. I see your point. I keep thinking that part carries a lot of weight. FWIW to those who are curious why I needed a longer bolt.... When was initially modifying the mount brackets, they wouldn't line up to the bolt holes to the frame. Along with elongating the holes in the bracket that bolts to frame I made the hole in each arm of the transmission bracket a little longer. But this along with removing even more material at each arm, gave me pause to think about strengthening those spots so I welded a washer on to each hole and back filled the rest of the hole. This "tightened" things up and will hopefully add some strength to that area. Thanks for the help people.
