Keep in mind bed liner on the bottom will make it difficult to repair, it has to be removed to do any welding or any major dent removal.

I've changed paint color one of my MGBs, but to another stock color. It was robin's egg blue, an unfortunate '60s color. It's Rallye Red now.

My '85 Westy was in some serious scrapes and repainted long ago. It was dark brown, and they went with a lighter brown metallic that was actually a Nissan color. Looks good, from distance. They did not paint above the rain rail, so last year when I had the top off I painted that.

To do a complete color change properly it should be done inside and out, and that means completely gutting the interior and removing the windows, camper labels, door handles, and anything else attached to the van. Not an easy job.

Oil temp is a good number to have.
