It is pretty simple to do if done simply. Some people seem to want to
make it a huge project but that is not my way of doing it. Here is a
photo link of the roof hole cut.

Few people know it but Westfalia sold the just the poptop in kit form to
be added to passenger vans. It does not require welding or painting to
install. My method is similar.
