MT90 is not considered to be the good juice anymore in sycnro's .. might want to change that in any case. Swepco is recommended.. and German Transaxle fairly insists on Ultra Guarg 75 W 90.

good thinking on thebreather hole and tube, I'd want to be very very sure though. Also .....full to the bottom of the hole is not the spec for full...should be down a little from there.

I'm sure you've considered drive shaft balance, u-joints not being stiff ( on all the original drive-shafts I see, I usually find the rear u-joint stiff in one plane. ) . or bearing in the housing where the seal is, or flange itself in some way.

A 2" spot is more than seeping to me. I'd want that fixed. I don't get the impression the nose of the trans is the strongest or best built transmission part in the world either.

Indeed, a leaking seal is not always just the seal ... it can indicate other tired things in the area.
