Not only do the brighter bulbs annoy oncoming drivers but they can be a real nuisance to those being followed. A reality is that our original lights are terrible in part because they are shot. Even if they look OK sand abrasion and stuff has destroyed the lenses on the outside and the bulbs burning have covered the lenses and reflectors on the inside. Back when lights were OEM lights were still available I have installed some new sets which made a huge improvement.

Stock wattage is 55 watts. And it is plenty of wattage, when directed well. The round headlights or the eurospec rectangular headlights place the light in a usual place in front of the vehicle.

I hate the super bright light folks (aka 90 100 watts) that some folk slap on their cars. Number 1 they are illegal, Number 2 they blind other drivers (like me), which is VERY unsafe.
