Some have created a box behind the passenger seat, not bad but I keep the porta-potty there. Another great place is right under the Vitrofrigo (or TruckFridge) refrigerator. A third option, the one I chose, was the spot next to the water tank on the bottom of that little cubby. You don’t lose allot of room using that area since it only extends half way into what would have been the storage area. As for rear-bench installs a good place is where the rear heater is if you have removed it. A really clever one I came upon recently is that unused space under the rear cabinet. Requires R&R of the cabinet and lots of hoses, etc. but its very well concealed. Though that latter option may be too loud for those sleeping in the rear.

Thanks for the referral to track down that elusive hose size.

I'm so glad I moved that Propex. I am totally amused by all the clever locations that thing has been installed over the years. I was in the original group back in the 90's and we all ordered a skid of heaters from England. Long story short we ordered a few dollars too many and needed a customs lawyer to help. We all installed the heaters together under the rear bench. In hindsight that was THE worst place we could have installed that thing. The amount of storage space lost was astronomical in Westfalia terms. Live and learn. I had that eating up the left underseat bench, a battery eating up the rigtht (looking down torwards that area), my overhead cabinet is a non-functioning AC unit and the tall cabinet is now 80% useless because I have a shoulder strap going through it. sigh.
