I doubt you hurt anything. What are the choices anyway .. it's either fix alt and belt, check/service/fill coolant and see how she acts and works ..... or takebigger things apart.

the heads have several leak modes ....they seldon to to immediate significant external leaks in my experience... 'never' even.

fresh engine ...might be more sensitive to getting a little hot, compared to one well worn in with 150K+ miles on it.

the Blue Pressure cap ..those can not be counted on to release pressure. I have seen the pressure coolant bottle puffed up badly from high cooling system pressure .. the blue cap sure never relieved pressure like normal coolant pressure caps used to.

you might change the oil .
