Subject: About your west fridge blowing out at highway speeds

(and no, I don't want to hear the opinions of those who don't believe in running the fridge underway. This is not for you)

Just had to remind myself that the best-maintained westy fridge will blow out if the metal plate trapped under the flue vent cover is not absolutely parallel to the face of the flue vent cover and perfectly aligned with the edge of the rubber lip of the mounting pad. You don't even get two millimeters to be off, maybe not even one. You should be able to sight over the edge of the black rubber rim and see that middle plate aligned with the edge of the rubber. The slightest deviation from perfect will blow the fridge out.

You can loosen the three screws on the flue vent cover and readjust the plate, checking after tightening each screw.
