Thanks! I just traced the wire (tried this before but I guess it had to wait until I could look like an idiot for the whole list before I was successful)--as Mark suggested, it did end up wired to the aux battery, and the line that delivers power from that battery is fused, and the fuse is blown.

So, off to get a replacement and re-test. We jumpered power to the flashers and they work, so if this fuse is all we need (I've had the battery in/out, dash off, etc, very possible I shorted something without knowing it somewhere in the process), we might be able to get this puppy inspected today!
