One has a gaping hole.

This is ridiculous that unacceptable that in 2013 someone can't even make a CV joint boot that will hold up for a year.

Well, maybe somebody can, but who is it? Tell me and I will start buying from them.

I get mine from McKenzies Performance. Although I have the 930 rear axles, and so need different-than-stock/OE boots to fit, the quality of boots they have for both the 930's and stock fronts is very good. I usually call and buy by phone. It allows me to discuss with someone, what I'm buying and the possible options.

Stiffer/thicker rubber tends to crack under stress and bending. The boots I've gotten from McKenzies are more pliable, maybe even more vulnerable to damage from off-road rocks/debris, but they seems to last a long time.

Also, I no longer ever put a zip tie on the axle (narrow) end of the boot so that it can slide up and down the axle rather than stretching and compressing the boot when zip tied to the axle.
