It's not too bad if you can loosen or break or cut the old bolts. A flare means there should be a "doughnut" type gasket. If you're in this for the long haul, I'd recommend using stainless steel bolts. If you can't find 8 mm metric ones, 5/16" will work. IMHO Have fun. Larry A.
