----------- original post ------- People from the USA/CA seem to largely think their vehicle needs all kinds of extra gadgets and doodads to make a trip of any consequence. People from other places seem more content to set off with only the most basic of equipment and just wing it from there. --------------------- As for myself, I used to have Westfalias but have gone back to a regular syncro passenger van. And mostly car camping with a prius if it’s just a couple nights. I’m always amazed at seeing people on round the world trips in Unimogs. I wonder where they are going and if they really need that type of vehicle. It seems to be mostly Germans driving them. Gary www.vwrack.com |
