I hear you on the infrequently used engines, and they also tend to be
2-cycle with more vinyl tubes, rubber parts and diaphrams than you would
find in a car. I got so sick of taring down the carbueretors on my
weedeater, lawnmower and generator, even with stabil in the tank, that I
finally resorted to paying $4.10 a gallon for ethanol free gas. I have not
had a problem since. My generator is run so infrequently, though, that I
just ran it dry and am keeping my fingers crossed.
