The van should never be lifted by the engine or transmission. At best the rear mounts can get torn. At worst the case can crack. Using a 2X4 or better yet a 4x4 the rear carrier can be used to lift the rear. If only changing a tire the jack can be placed under the control arm. Of course block and chock and use jack stands if working underneath. Dennis
