The last time I replaced a windshield, on a previous Westy, the body guy (knowledgeable on VW's) told me the Westy's used a windshield that had a darker tint and the tint was lower on the windshield than a regular Vanagon. When he got the windshield, after telling the glass folks he used he wanted the darkest tint, it did seem to be darker and lower. Any truth to this, and how do I tell the glass company what windshield I want. Maybe a specific part number? Your thoughts please
OEM vanagon windshields never had any kind of tint band at the top. and there is NO difference between a westy windshield and a regular vanagon windshield.. a westy vs non westy windshield? LOL. that's funny!!. sounds like your body guy hosed you!! :) |
