Wheel size matters. A common nice set up on not-too-radical a syncro is 215/75 R 15 on 15 inch wheels.
you might have 27 X 8.50 R 14's ..a favorite size of mine for a 14 ..and they look just right on a syncro to me ... and the same overall diameter on a 15 inch wheel will handle better than the same overall diameter on a 14. you want 5identical tires of coursefor a syncro. Keep in mind if your spare will fit underneath in front, or where you'll keep one if it won't.
