Yes, I forgot to mention finishing with 3M adhesive remover. Professional grade, (http://www.premiumboatcare.com/3m-adhesive-remover-32.html?productid=3m-adh esive-remover-32&channelid=FROOG ) available at auto body suppliers, and very useful for removing any adhesive or goo (not from some plastics though!). I don't like buying one-use tools, and I gave up on that eraser in short order once on a big decal, and that's when I went to the heat technique.

True.

However, while the heat from a hair dryer will loose the vinyl lettering so you can pull it off, it will not remove the baked on glue that will be left behind on the fiberglass.

The stripe remover will get it all in one move.
