The tire manufacturer (General) approves rim widths between 6' & 7.5" for this particular tire. I have had 16", 18" and 19" rims with low profile tires on my van and car(s) and they did not survive the potholes on New Orleans roads. The 14" rims with 205-70 tires allow me to climb over curbs without worry of damage.   TJ Hannink Goldibox - 1987 Vanagon Camper, Wolfsburg Edition 1981 Bluebird Wanderlodge, FC-33SB Des Allemands, Louisiana http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wolfsburg_campers http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FC_wanderlodge ________________________________ On 5/6/2013 8:05 AM, Matthew Wolaver wrote: > Thanks everyone for your comments on my Syncro. > > What i really am after is to find out what size rims to look for that will > fit the tires that are on the vehicle now. > > They are new General tires (27x8.50R14) > http://mysyncrowesty.com/images/harmony/tirefrontDriver.JPG > > Thanks, > Matt > >
