Subject: Jacking points tell me if I'm wrong??
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

So I needed a repair that required taking the wheel of the Vanagon. The guy at the tire store rolled the huge floor jack towards the back on the van... Meaning about to place it under the engine, I'm assuming that he was going to use the engine carriers as a jacking point.

I corrected that in short order, asking him to used the manufactures jacking point right in front of the rear wheel....

Was I wrong? could he have jacked it somewhere back there?? am I being overprotective....I said to me at one point, Its ok buddy, I'm just trying to do my job.

El t.
