I used my Garmin Nuvi 50 yesterday, Salt Lake to Livermore, CA (775 mi in 12 hours), and my iPhone just for kix. I COULD have turned on my Garmin Edge 500 bike computer. All were within "inches" and mph of each other, for what that's worth. GPS is GPS. The Scan Gauge that I run full time, constantly reported 1mph lower than the other 3 because it was "programmed" using a Garmin Colorado 400T so was probably programmed wrong by me. Sheesh....technology overkill. The Nuvi did a great job of routing me here. Loud enough "voice" instructions to hear while traveling in a Vanagon moving at 70mph, too. ;-) bob |
