VW SA did nothing of the sort.
VW SA never sold people a rebuilt engine as new with a misleading
phrase like "RECHARGE YOUR VANAGON! WITH A BRAND NEW HIGH OUTPUT
2.0-LITER 4 CYLINDER INLINE ENGINE CONVERSION!" (the word conversion
being operative, misleading at best, lie at worst) in a configuration
where an uncalibrated speed density system ran a high compression
engine at stoich at wide open throttle. Tiico did.
